Jean-Jacques Pérennès, a Dominican, was born in France in 1949. He lived for many years in Algeria and then moved to Egypt where is presently General Secretary of the Dominican Institute for Eastern Studies. He is also Provincial Vicar of the Dominicans in the Arab world.
