Nato il 22 aprile 1942 a Lanterswil-Stehrenberg (Svizzera). Frate Cappuccino, è stato ordinato sacerdote il 4 luglio 1967. Già Vescovo ausiliare di Arabia, è stato nominato Vicario Apostolico d’Arabia il 21 marzo 2005.
