What does war look like through the eyes of a child? U.S. artist Bryan McCarty sets his images in Mosul, drawing upon interviews with and drawings of children for inspiration. Al Jazeera’s latest investigative reporting explores connections between Trump’s presidency and administration and the “Islamophobia industry.” Al Jazeera names several groups as part of “Islamophobia Inc.” that are characterized by dislike for Muslims and prejudice against Islam, especially as a political force.

Doctor Bartolo shares the “slaughter of innocence” that he has witnessed in the Mediterranean in recent months during his work in Lampedusa.

 

“It’s not just simple dancing - It’s an act of protest.” 19-year-old Maedeh Hojabri of Iran was arrested and forced to publicly apologies for the videos she shared via Instagram of herself dancing. Since her arrest, hundreds of women have posted videos of themselves dancing with the hashtag “#dancing_isn’t_a_crime.” Masih Alinejad, an Iranian journalist and activist now based in the U.S. spoke about the videos and what she does with them with the BBC.
