Abdullah Saeed is Sultan of Oman Professor of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Melbourne, Australia. He has published extensively in areas such as Qur’anic studies, Islam and human rights, religious freedom, interreligious relations and Muslims in the West. He is a member of UNESCO Commission of Australia, a Fellow of Australian Academy of Humanities, and in recognition of his work, he was awarded Order of Australia in 2012.
