Charles M. Ramsey, PhD (Birmingham, UK), is Dean of Spiritual Life at Baylor University (Texas, USA). He lived in India and Pakistan for almost twenty years and taught religious studies at Forman Christian College in Lahore, Pakistan. He is South Asia section editor for Christian-Muslim Relations: a bibliographic history (Brill, Leiden), author of God’s Word, Spoken and Otherwise: Sayyid Ahmad Khan’s (1817-98) Muslim Exegesis of the Bible (Brill, 2022); co-editor with Christian Troll SJ of The Gospel According to Sayyid Ahmad Khan (1817-98), An Annotated Translation of Tabyīn al-kalām (Brill, 2020), and co-editor with Clinton Bennett of South Asian Sufis: Devotion, Deviation, and Destiny (Continuum, 2012). He also has written articles and chapters for various journals and books including Journal of Qur’anic Studies and Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations.
