Elisabetta Bartuli has taught Arabic literature, literary translation from Arabic into Italian and transcultural dialogue at the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, Italy, since the early 2000s. She has translated into Italian Mahmud Darwish (Palestine), Elias Khoury, Jabbour Douaihy, Rabee Jaber (Lebanon), Sonallah Ibrahim, Alaa Al Aswany, Ezzedine C. Fishere (Egypt) and Inaam Kachachi (Iraq) from Arabic and Fatima Mernissi (Morocco) and Hala Kodmani (Syria) from French. She collaborates with many publishing houses and contributes to several journals.
