He is professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in Tunis. He also chairs l’Observatoire tunisien de la transition démocratique and is a founding member of the Centre arabe de recherches et d’analyses politiques et sociales (CARAPS) in Geneva. He is the author of several publications, including L’exception islamique (2004), Le pacte de Nadjd. Ou comment l’islam sectaire est devenue l’islam (2007), La tragédie de l’Islam moderne (2011).
