Migrants Die as Boat Capsizes of Tunisia (BBC). At least 48 migrants died after a boat packed with about 180 people capsized off the eastern coast of Tunisia. These deaths come on the same day as Italy's new interior minister, Matteo Salvini said that Sicily must stop being “the refugee camp of Europe.”
North Korea Says Syria's Assad Will Visit with Kim (New York Times). After years of isolation, North Korean leader Kim Jung-un has begun to pursue diplomatic relations with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, while continuing his outreach to Syria's American adversaries.
Iran Calls on World to Stand Up to Trump, Save Nuclear Deal (Reuters). Iran's foreign minister, struggling to save a nuclear deal after U.S exit, excuses the U.S. of “illegal withdrawal” from the deal, and using “bullying methods to bring other governments in line” which discredited the rules of international law.
