Syria’s Disputed Peace Agreement

After peace talks failed Saturday, and deadly airstrikes continued in Syria killing at least 75 people, talks resumed between Syrian opposition forces and Russian negotiators on Sunday in small-rebel held town in South-Western Syria, according to Al-Jazeera. New Interior Minister of Italy Matteo Salvini has called for all ports in Italy to be closed to NGO migrant ships, affecting the work of major NGOs that aim to ease trauma of migration such as Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). NGOs will be forced to rethink policy on migration aid after new EU immigration deal was reached last week, according to writers of the Guardian.
