Clinton Bennett

Clinton Bennett currently teaches at the State university of New York at New Paltz. He gained his PhD in 1990 from Birmingham University, UK, in Islamic Studies. Among previous posts, he was a Baptist missionary in Bangladesh, director of interfaith relations for the British Council of Churches, Senior Lecturer and Assistant Chaplain at Westminster College, Oxford and Associate Professor of Religion at Baylor University, Texas. He represents the Alliance of Baptists on the National Muslim-Christian Initiative in the USA, and he is the West Europe Team Leader for the project, Christian-Muslim Relations. His publications include Muslims and Modernity (2005) and Muslims in Power (2010).
