He was born in Switzerland in 1967 and is an expert on Christian minorities in Muslim countries and in the former Soviet Union. He has spent numerous years abroad working for humanitarian organisations. In addition to his current work for Help for the Church that Suffers, he is involved in a project on conversions from Christianity to Islam and from Islam to Christianity.
