Junior Research Fellow – Middle East and Islamic World
We are looking for a young, curious, and proactive junior researcher wishing to work with us to analyze and write on the Middle East, the Islamic world, and the encounter between Christians and Muslims.
Below the required skills and the job description.
Required skills
MA, preferably in oriental languages, political sciences, international relations, philosophy, or classics.
A PhD or a post-degree specialization is a plus.
Linguistic skills: English and Arabic.
Knowledge of French and/or another oriental language are extra values.
If the candidate is not Italian, he/she is not required to know Italian, but he/she is warmly encouraged to learn it during his/her work period at Oasis.
Outstanding writing and editing skills in English
Outstanding competences in Middle Eastern and Islamic politics, cultures, and religions.
Strong interest for Islamic-Christian dialogue.
Main tasks
Writing, translating, and revising articles, analyses, reports, and interviews
Writing internal reports and special notes
Producing a reasoned review of the Arabic press
Producing short videos for the social media
Location: Milan (Italy)
