Inside an Epochal Change Christians in the Middle East and Compelled Migrations

The violence of Islamic extremism, the brutality of war and hunger are forcing thousands of people every day to flee their homes

Christians fleeing Middle East are like a hemorrhage changing the region. They are an emblematic part, together with Muslims and other religious communities, of the flux of migrants that reaches our frontiers pursuing a better future. We will discuss on the nature of this “epochal change”, as Pope Francis called it, and on its impact on Europe during the conference due to January 19th, promoted by Oasis and the Avsi Foundation. On this occasion Oasis’ latest issue titled The Cross and the Black Flag will be presented, which is devoted to the Middle Eastern Christians at the time of the Islamic State.
